| It
May Be Time to Replace Your Fork |
|
|
 |
 |
We here at Easy
Racers would like to take a moment to remind all of
our riders that our steel forks don't last forever.
Most of you hopefully received a bevy of paperwork
along with your bike. If you took the time to look
it over you would have surely noticed a note regarding
our guaranty. In case you didn't, the opening portion
of it reads:
"Easy
Racers lifetime guarantees your frame, [and guarantees
your] fork for a period of five years, excepting
crash damage."
As metal fatigues and
corrodes it becomes increasingly brittle and a brittle
metal is more likely to crack. Cracked metal and a
fast bicycle is a bad combination. The first step in
avoiding catastrophe in regards to your fork is check
it, along with rest of your bike, before every ride.
Look for cracks at the seams and rust near welds. If
something alarms you or look like it could become a
more serious problem don't ride your bike.
Step two in maintaining
a healthy fork is to replace it every 3 to 5 years
regardless of how much you ride. We've made great strides
in our fork design and have come up with our sturdiest
version yet. In fact, we like it so much more than
anything we've offered before we'd like to give you
one for just $30, no matter how old or new your current
steel fork is. The only stipulation is that we'd like
you to send us your old fork when you get a chance.
Since the safety of
our customers is so important to us this will remain
our policy for the foreseeable future. If you have
a fork that is not the current design,
whatever that design happens to be at any given time,
you can exchange you fork for the latest version for
a minimal price. It's something to consider and an
offer we highly advise you take us up on.

No
matter what our friend Andy says, we know this
bike is a lot more than the, "old junker," he
claims it to be. What started its life as an
ordinary Tour Easy has taken on a whole new look
with some time, thought, and elbow grease.
The custom green
paint job extends beyond the frame to the Carbon
Fiber Fork. A custom made, yellow-rimmed,
black-spoked wheel set gives the bike an incredibly
elegant color contrast. It stops with a pair
of interesting Campy brakes that we couldn't
help but Snap
a Picture Of. Throw in some brown leather
"trim," matching anodized rear rack
and HUD (head-up display) cover, our sleek Carbon
Cobra Seat and top that off with a Modded PSP that
acts as a navigation system and an mp3 player
with its own speaker system and you've got a
bike that rivals Alan
Barnard's Tour Easy for sheer inventiveness.
And to think,
it started out as a stock Tour

Combining the best aspects
of both the Koolback and
the Cobra seat,
the Sprinter is
the latest seat design innovation from Easy Racers.
Built from a foundation
similar to that of the Cobra, with a carbon fiber and
fiberglass shell, then reinforced by a lightweight, ultra
supportive aluminum frame and padded with a layer of
high density foam, the Sprinter marks the next evolution
in the design of our seats and gives Easy Racers riders
exactly what they've been asking for.
Any Koolback user looking
for a sportier, more efficient and compact option can
simply swap out their Koolback seat back for a Sprinter
Seat Back without having to replace the seat base
that they already have. Having the two seat backs means
you can easily choose the appropriate configuration for
the conditions and the ride at hand, without the burden
of a complete seat replacement. Cobra owners will find
similar lightweight, racing-oriented performance from
the Sprinter only with the much desired adjustable back
angle and increased back support.
Update your bike with
our most efficient seat to date at our EasyShop.
Remember, Koolback owners can simply add the Sprinter
Seat Back to the base that they already have. The
Sprinter is also available as a Complete
Seat and as a $55 upgrade to any new bike. |

An
Easy Racers bicycle allows you to ride in a
natural sitting position. No twisting of the
spine, strain on your neck, or undue pressure
on your wrists or crotch. Our bicycles allow
you to ride in style and comfort while attaining
remarkable speed. Easy Racers, Inc. is the
acknowledged industry leader in the manufacturing
recumbent bicycles. Gardner
Martin, our founder, first sought to design
comfortable, practical road bikes. And in the
beginning there was the Gold
Rush, the first streamlined bicycle to
break 65mph!
After
almost 30 years of doing
business, the company has quite a fan base.

Easy Racers' recumbents have been
successfully race proven since 1978, setting 19 world
records in all kinds of different events from top
speed to twisty road races. These American Made long
wheelbase bicycles have been the choice of countless
recumbent riders for decades. Nine frame sizes accommodate
riders from 4'10” to 6’7”, making
each bike a custom fit. All of our bikes are available
in either Speed and Sport or Expedition variations.
A Speed and Sport model has narrower tires, a 20" (451mm)
front wheel and normal road bike gearing. An Expedition
model comes with fatter tires, a 20” (406mm)

Our handlebars
are cleverly designed to serve as fairing supports.
An Easy Racers fairing (by Zzip
